I've just reinstalled ours on FC8 - we might well be the first Koha site
running FC8; previously we were running on FC3. There is no "best" Linux
distro for Koha. You should ask yourself "Which distro am I happiest
supporting?". We are a Fedora/Redhat 9 site (my choice) hence we used Fedora
for our Koha machine.

The dependancy list on the koha site is a start but it is incomplete. Running
the installer identified other dependances. See my install log at
http://www.openhgs.org.uk/it.cgi/koha for a complete list.

http://www.kohadocs.org/ has instructions for installing on several distos.
