[Koha] Continued 1.2.3 -> 2.x Migration Woes

Hi everyone,
I'm still trying to figure out how to get an old 1.2.3 database into a current
version of Koha. I cannot locate 2.0.x anywhere, so I'm still working with
2.2.7. I'd be happy to go with a 2.0.x release if that would help and someone
could point me to where that might be (it does not appear to be on SourceForge
any longer).

The problem is that while database updater seemed to run fine, and in reports,
Koha shows 1,800+ books, it cannot bring them up when searching, whether by
title,  author, barcode, etc. I'm at a loss to what to do to get our data into
some kind of usable form.

I'd appreciate any insight someone might be able to give me.
