Carol,  since bibliosubject.subject is mapped to only one field/subfield, I
think folks usually change the MARC subfield structure in the framework for 650
$a to use the 'Search also' constraint, such as " see also :
650v','650x','650y','650z',
651a','651v','651x','651y','651z','655a','655b','655c','655v','655x','655y',
'655z'..."

Again, these are workarounds.  You could even make up your own subfield
lettering system to avoid repeating letters, as long as you keep track of what
you mapped things to and it is consistently done.  For example, the first 'x'
in a 650 can be mapped to 650 'f' in Koha and the second 650 x goes to 's'. 
Use MARC Maker/Breaker to recode those subfields in the MARC records, and dump
them into Koha.
