[Koha] Chinese Support

I have following the email on Chinese support.  I checked with Mysql which says that it supports Unicode.  So I guess the question lies in whether Koha's search engine is able to translate Unicode into whatever code it is using for Chinese characters?  
 
I guess as of now, we still cannot search the Chinese character for books in the database?
