I'm going to bet that you are looking at the OPAC interface here.

When you load the main page, does the graphic say:

                koha
OPAC - Catalogue and Member Services


  or


               koha
Open Source Library System - Intranet



If the former, then you are looking at the OPAC interface.  If you used
installer.pl and picked the defaults, your intranet interface should be
running on port 8080.  Use a url like:

http://your.site.org:8080/

to access the intranet interface
