I can't tell you what the problem is. The Z39.50 part of Koha is definitely
new and needs more experience, debugging, and documentation.
For the solution, in my opinion this is a developer-level question.
The best thing to do is probably to see if these Z39.50 sources work with
another tool, such as yaz-client. No, I don't know how to use it.
Like I said, this is a new part of Koha and needs more testing. Thanks
