[Koha] searching?

G'day,
    have recently installed Koha and am having a little problem with
returning results from the catalogue search.  Have actually just entered
dummy data using the acquisitions page, we used systemprefs and are using
the simple page.  I return results when the opac-search.pl is run but don't
return data when searching from catalogue, the search.pl script...

Any ideas?
