[Koha] barcode check digits

Hi,

When I ordered barcodes this morning the saleslady explained that the check 
digit is a trailing digit of the barcode.  So in the case of Koha, which 
requires a 9 digit number the check digit is any number between 1-0 with 
the system making the decision for me.  When ordering barcodes I then need 
to place an "x" for the trailing number.  Koha will read the trailing "x" 
and randomly "read" a digit in place of the "x"
