Re: [Koha] Koha answer re linking to individual items in Koha
All, Sorry, everyone, I spoke too soon. The combination with the barcode did not work. Still working on it and would appreciate hearing from anyone working on a similar problem. Thanks. On 5/16/2011 3:43 PM, Linda Culberson wrote:

From experimentation, I found that this works: http://koha.mdah.state.ms.us/cgi-bin/koha/opac-detail.pl?biblionumber=$bibno&items.barcode=$barcode

All, Is there a way in Koha to get a link to a specific item or holding either by barcode or itemnumber or some combination of fields? For example, in our current system we can use either items.barcode or the equivalent combination of items.biblionumber & items.enumchron fields. Thanks in advance.

You want the individual item? You can do that in the staff interface, not in the opac. opac-detail.pl works at biblio level. So you can link to an individual biblio on the opac, but not to an individual item. (Since there isnt an individual item page .. or am I misunderstanding you?) What we can do in our current system, may not be possible in the Koha opac. What I was really trying to get to is the opac_reserve for a specific item where a title has many (as in 600+) physical items. It would be essentially be as if a patron could go straight to a request if they knew the barcode. On 5/16/2011 4:00 PM, Chris Cormack wrote:

Ahh, nope I dont think you can currently, because the opac-reserve.pl is again reached via biblionumber Chris -- Chris Cormack Catalyst IT Ltd. +64 4 803 2238 PO Box 11-053, Manners St, Wellington 6142, New Zealand
