Hi all, We are thinking about getting Koha for our school library. One thing that I didn't like when I tried a demo was the fact that when I put a book on hold and then the book was returned, there was no message showing me that there was a hold on that book. Am I overlooking something? This was one of the main problems I saw. With the present system I have, when a book is returned, if there is a hold on it, it comes up with a message in red that so and so has a hold on the book. Any help would be appreciated. And I'm in and out during the summer so may not get back to this for a week or so. Thanks, Dora Dora Brach Library Media Specialist Mountainburg Schools dorab@dragons.wsc.k12.ar.us
Hi Dora, In production systems, Koha does track holds and notify the circ staff that the item is on hold. I will investigate whether there is something misconfigured in the public demo. Did you find out if there is a problem with the program that does not notify us if the book is on hold? Larie Gigger Joshua M. Ferraro wrote:

Did you receive an answer for the problem of a flag on a returned book when it has been reserved. I want to reserve books in the library, but it is very time consuming to have to look each book up when it is returned. Thanks, Larie Gigger Dora Brach wrote:

Dora, Did you ever resolve the problem in the Koha program with the program not flagging reserved books when they are checked in. I have this program and don't know how to solve. Larie Gigger Dora Brach wrote:
