Aleph to Koha at Academic Library
Hello, is here someone from academic library that successfuly migrated from Aleph to Koha and would to share some experiences? Thank You Mike
Hi there, We in the University of Aveiro, Portugal, made the migration from aleph version 20.0.01 to koha 3.20. It was a hard work, but we manage to migrate everything, without data loss. Maybe it's easier if you say specify what you want to know. On 01/29/2018 12:42 PM, Mike D. wrote:

Greetings friends I am a database administrator at the National Library of the Dominican Republic. In our library we have the service Aleph 500 version 23, but we want to migrate to Koha all the information to this latest free software. We have already installed the latest version of koha running successfully. I would like to know more about the process of migration. Thanks in advance. -- Sent from: http://koha.1045719.n5.nabble.com/Koha-general-f3047918.html
We had migrate data from Aleph to Koha, in Brazil. It's easy migrate data from Aleph to Koha, because Aleph uses Marc21. You just need to change some marc fields, i.e. you have to add the field 942$c ( type of material) and 952 ( item field). In Aleph you have information about circulation in the bibliographic record, but in Koha you need to config in Administration module> circulation rule.
