3.8 - Circulation and fine rules in days not working - Debarred / Restricted
Hi Our Library works with days suspension. I had koha running on 3.2 with no problem. I've upgraded to version 3.8 and koha started to debar all borrwoers. When I check-in the item, it says: /"PatronName" is now debarred until "Date/Of/Debarrement"/ In Patron file is: /Restricted: Patron's account is restricted until "DateOfDebarrement"/ I've checked rules, delete them and create them again, checked the server date, Systemprefs, etc... I cant find the problem. The rule that Koha is applying is the most restrictive like if the borrower pass the due date. Example: *Rule:* Loan Periode:16 - Fine charging interval:1 - Suspension in days (day):1 *Details:* Date:03/08/2012 - Checked out on:03/08/2012 22:04 - Date due:22/08/2012 23:59 - Return date:03/08/2012 22:04 *Problem:* Restricted: Patron's account is restricted until 10/09/2012 Thanks for any help. -- View this message in context: http://koha.1045719.n5.nabble.com/3-8-Circulation-and-fine-rules-in-days-not... Thanks for your reply. Yes I have the All - All rule: *All All 3 3 days None defined 0.00 0 0 0 0 0 0.000000* In this rule I don't even have days penalties. Then I have a little bit more specific rule applied just to the library *Leitor All 2 3 days None defined 0.00 1 1 2 0 2 0.000000* Finally the more specific rule applied just to the library: *Leitor Books 3 16 days None defined 0.00 1 1 2 1 3 0.000000* These rules were working in ver. 3.2 I've deleted all the rules and tried with just the ALL - ALL rule and then together with the most specific. The machines I've tested before were Ubuntu 10.04 Now I have installed Koha on Debian Squeeze and imported the full database from our Library. The problem is the same, penalties for everyone! I've tried all types of rules without success. Is this a BUG?? Does anyone have koha 3.8 working with day rules? Please let me know so I can report a bug. Hi, if you are using 3.8.0 it might be worth trying to update to the latest 3.8.x release, as the releases after 3.8.0 include some bug fixes for date related problems. Also there might already be a bug report in bugzilla, it's always worth trying a search there when you run into a problem like this. on fine rules in day there is this bug: 8251 - http://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=8251 Raed post to understand the problem. I suggest you to install a dev installation of 3.8.x as your private test. If all is ok, install in production the 3.8.4, it will be released at 22/Aug/2012 Bye Zeno Tajoli
