I don't think you'll fully automate this unless you have the resources to assign a programmer to the task. We have single-sign-on working with our institutional AD FS system, but for actually creating the account our librarians run a report from our SIS/ERP to produce a csv file they then import into Koha. They'll do this once a week or so, maybe even more often near the start of a term to catch any students who might get paperwork done and accepted past the usual deadlines. It really only takes a couple minutes, and we're happy here. If anything, it's the name change process I'd like to improve. With the looming potential for federal regulations around preferred names, we want to be sure a name change in the SIS can quickly propagate out to related systems. Finance is similar. Librarians run a report about once a month to send to the business office. The business office staff know how to import and post the charges. It's not fully automated, but it only takes a couple minutes. That's just for student fines/overdue charges/fees. I know there's also accounting around the acquisitions module, buy we haven't used this module in the past. We may look at starting soon as we revue some internal ILL policies and perhaps retire ILL completely in favor of a pool of money available for acquisitions, but even then it's likely anything charged through that module would be "paper money". e.g. When a student is registered on university ERP, a trigger creates or updates a matching record on Koha.

When an order encumbers funds on koha, a trigger does the same on university's finance system.

We have just been asked by our programming team what integration points we need and could only think of a few.

Any integration experience outside a university system is welcome as well.
