problems installing Koha 24.05.03 in italian (with workaround)
Hi everybody, There is a problem with italian localization. I'm doing a brand new installation of Koha 24.05.03 with package on Debian 12 My configuration is UNIMARC and in Italian (it-IT) i.e. i do a "sudo koha-translate --install it-IT" before starting the web installation process. The installation process stops at the last step, i.e. just BEFORE the configuration of tha admin user. The log file /var/lok/koha/<libname>/plack-error.log reports this line: "Template process failed: file error - /usr/share/koha/intranet/htdocs/intranet-tmpl/prog/it-IT/modules/onboarding/onboardingstep1.tt: not found at /usr/share/koha/lib/C4/Templates.pm line 134." In fact the file "/usr/share/koha/intranet/htdocs/intranet-tmpl/prog/it-IT/modules/onboarding/onboardingstep1.tt" is missing or better, the whole dir "/usr/share/koha/intranet/htdocs/intranet-tmpl/prog/it-IT/modules/onboarding" il missing while the dir "/usr/share/koha/intranet/htdocs/intranet-tmpl/prog/en/modules/onboarding/" is present and contains the following files: "onboardingstep1.tt onboardingstep2.tt onboardingstep3.tt onboardingstep4.tt onboardingstep5.tt" If I copy these files to a newly created dir [...]/prog/it-IT/modules/onboarding the forms to create Library and UserAdmin are in english but the installations works ciao tommaso È strettamente vietata qualsiasi forma di utilizzo, riproduzione o diffusione non autorizzata del contenuto di questo messaggio o di parte di esso. Hi Tommaso, missing files in the translated directories can be a sign that the translation process didn't finish correctly. Could you try re-installing it-IT on your system and check for any errors in the output? Could you try re-installing it-IT on your system and check for any errors in the output?
Something like:
sudo koha-translate --remove it-IT
sudo koha-translate --install it-IT
