Hi. This question may not be appropriate for this forum, let me know. I am involved with a small (approx 2000 volume) specialist library run by volunteers, in Singapore. We are considering a move to Koha - we have only one computer and so are looking at using the system only as a catalogue. To determine if this is feasible, I need to get some idea of how long it is likely to take to install Koha and all other necessary software. Until I know this, it is difficult for me to determine if we will need to employ someone to do this for us, or use a volunteer, or find another solution. Hope you can help, Sarah Jordan Friends of the Museum Library, Singapore __________________________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? Hi sarah, If your computer run MS-window, you can forget installing koha on it : nobody has succeeded such an installation. But if your computer run GNU/Linux, FreeBSD or Mac OS-X, installation should be easy (half an hour, less if everything goes fine) -- Paul

I suggest you contact your nearest Linux Users Group - in Singapore I think this would be: http://www.lugs.org.sg/ If you were to ask for help there, I think you would have no trouble finding (too) many enthusiastic and competent volunteers ;^) R.
