Will LTFL be part of Koha or an add-on by LibLime for a charge? (yes, that's Librarything For Libraries). Deb Joshua Ferraro wrote:

Hi,
Is anyone using LTFL with Koha OPAC?
What is LTFL? :-)
That's this :
Ahh ... Library thing for libraries ... well, Koha has partial support for it. When you look at a detail page for, say, this record:
http://search.athenscounty.lib.oh.us/cgi-bin/koha/opac-detail.pl?bib=44097&display=editions
What you're seeing is generated via LibraryThing's ThingISBN ...
We're actively working with Tim Spalding and the LibraryThing gang to get additional LibraryThing features into Koha ... stay tuned :-)
Cheers,

Everything LibLime ever creates that's part of Koha is always contributed back to the Koha community, without exception. Any integration between Koha and Librarything for libraries would be no different. However, the content that is provided by Librarything must be licensed from Librarything, it's not free. See http://www.librarything.com/forlibraries/ for details. When you say: Any integration between Koha and Librarything for libraries would be no different. However, the content that is provided by Librarything must be licensed from Librarything, it's not free. What does that mean? Once LTFL is integrated with Koha, for those libraries who NOT LibLime customers, does that mean when installing Koha LTFL is automatically included? Or would LTFL be an additional cost and added on for LibLime customers only? Sorry if I'm being dense. Not speaking on behalf of Liblime here, but yes, if they integrate LTFL into Koha, then anyone who installs or upgrades Koha after that will have LTFL automatically. The only charge associated with it would be the fee to LibraryThing for the service (not the software). -- Owen
Thanks for clearing that up for me Owen! Deb Owen Leonard wrote:
