I fixed the problem with the advanced search; I changed the record.abs file to match the subfields that we have in the 952 MARC tag and now searching by type works. But when I click on the link for Limit to currently available items I get zero results. Has anyone else run into this problem? Thanks. When I search by item type I always get zero results. I have authorized values in the itype column in the items table, but not in the biblioitems itemtype column. I added some manually to that column and still couldn't search by type.

Is this a known bug, and is there a workaround?
