Dspace vs Greenstone ...other???
Would anyone care to comment on why they chose Dspace over Greenstone ...vice versa, or went with something else like contentDM? I just installed Dspace and am kicking the tires. Looking for experiences maintaining, upgrades/updates ...ease of use ...etc. We do have experienced onsite IT staff but if it requires a lot of hand holding that may be a factor. We would likely get some type of support contract and host the server ourselves. Thank you! -- Chad Roseburg Automation Dept. North Central Regional Library
Hi Chad, This https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/dspace-general would be the proper place to ask this question. Arslan Farooq On Fri, May 1, 2015 at 4:25 AM, Chad Roseburg <croseburg@ncrl.org> wrote:

DSpace 5.x introduces a smooth upgrade experience. The overlay method for introducing personalizations is handy once you figure how to work with it. But it is a complex java project. So it depends on how much you want to dig inside of it and your knowledge about the involved technologies. This is off topic, so better outside the list. Regards.
