Koha support solutions from Nucsoft OSS Labs
Folks, This is an announcement of Koha support solutions from Nucsoft's OSS Labs unit. At this time we are offering full service support plans including managed hosting. One-time implementation services are also available. Our pricing is transparent and we are not asking for a long term commitment. Libraries can pay monthly or annually. For the US market, hosting & support start at $1,000 a month and implementation at $2,500. Prices may vary for different countries. Please visit our website (http://www.osslabs.biz) for more details. We are sensitive to concerns about lock-in, so we will provide easy access to data and software to our customers. Nucsoft is an ISO 9001 certified IT support company with offices in the US, UK and India. We are bringing to the OSS market a superior IT support and services platform honed over years of mission critical work for large organizations. We are exhibiting at the ALA conference later this week at Washington D. C. (June 25-28), please visit us at booth #1106. We will also participate in the KUDOS meeting planned during the ALA event. Thanks, Savitra Sirohi Nucsoft OSS labs http://www.osslabs.biz PS: We are giving away an iPad to a lucky visitor at our ALA booth. It might be an announcement, but it's not news or noteworthy. From what I recall, these services aren't anything new or distinctive and have been listed on the various sites for some time, including the interesting US-v-India price differences. (software.coop decided to price the same for our US customers, give or take exchange rates.)

As do most of the support businesses. If each of us starts a thread each time we change some minor service detail or run a trade fair stand, this list will quickly become a cess pit of commercial messages and much less attractive to users. Please, don't start polluting the communal well with spam. [...]

Yes, and software.coop is at Co-operatives 2010, the UK's biggest and most influential gathering of co‑operatives, on Friday and Sunday, and you can book at http://s.coop/coops2010 but I didn't start a thread to post that. What I mean is we're all doing events and stuff most months. I think you should put it on your own website and mailing list and keep this list for Koha community topics instead of commercial adverts. Greetings- I tend to agree with some of MJ's remarks, but I think vendors ought to respect one another's rights. This note may be considered spam as well, but let's keep vendor digs off the list. I'm outta here, but I hope Nucsoft responds directly to the Software Coop folks and not the list. Thanks, Gary +-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+ Gary L. Harris, M.L.S. Folks, We have to care for our reputation (and our employees, investors etc.) so allow me a quick clarification: - The note was meant to announce ourselves to the community, just like other vendors have in recent months. - Yes, we have been around for some time, what is different now is that we have staff in the US & UK, we are exhibiting at conferences and want to pursue markets outside of India. - We will take note of some of the criticism for the future, we intend to be good citizens of this community. While I agree we don't want to get bombarded with each vendors press releases, I did appreciate hearing that there is another support option in the U.S. Just me two cents Lori On Mon, Jun 21, 2010 at 10:39 PM, savitra sirohi <savitra.sirohi@osslabs.biz
