disallow hold requests to be placed on items that are not checked out
Hi, I have a question to setup "disallow hold requests to be placed on items that are not checked out". I find a preference named "AllowOnShelfHolds" and it works. If the item is not checked out, I will unable to place a hold on it. BUT if the record has more than one items, I will ABLE to place a hold on it. For example, there is a record with three items, one of them are checkout but two are not. I will ABLE to place a hold on it. Is it correct behavior or is there any setting I missed? Thanks, Justin
Hi Justin, This sounds like a bug to me, please consider filing it at http://bugs.koha-community.org. Correct behaviour with this preference set to disallow would be to disallow reserves if there are any on the shelf. Cheers, Liz On 12/05/15 13:34, justin fang wrote:

Hi Liz and Justin, the decribed behaviour is currently the expected one, since Koha appears to always have worked like this. As soon as one item is checked out, the record level hold is 'unlocked'. It works ok for item level holds - items available can't be placed on hold. There are several bug reports asking for a change of behaviour here - one with others linked to it is: http://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=6837 Katrin Am 12.05.2015 um 03:53 schrieb Liz Rea:
