Online demo for 3.2?
Is such a beast available anywhere? Looking for demos of both staff client & OPAC, something along the lines of http://www.liblime.com/demos I found something here -- http://www.osslabs.biz/koha_library_management_system/try_koha/demo.html -- but this seems to be for version 3.01 not 3.2 as advertised. Cheers, Cab Vinton, Director Sanbornton Public Library Sanbornton, NH
These demos track HEAD, which currently is 3.2 Alpha: Catalog Demo Site for Library Catalog powered by the Koha ILS. This demo runs version 3.01.00.143. http://catalog.bywatersolutions.com/ Staff Interface Demo site for the Staff interface of the Koha ILS. Username = bywater Password = bywater http://intranet.bywatersolutions.com/ These demos are straight Koha, no proprietary code, and they are hosted by Bywater Solutions. I hope this helps! To be perfectly accurate, the ByWater Demo (at the time of this email) is running database version 3.01.00.143, which is 3 or 4 database revisions beyond the tagged release of 3.2 Beta. The current HEAD commit is f74e86ca (pushed yesterday), for those you looking to compare it to the Koha Git repo. And as Liz said, the demo is pure Koha, pulled directly from the Git repository. We at ByWater are committed to keeping the demo current on the path to 3.2, and will continue to update it as new bugfixes are released. We're open to community input on how to manage the demo after the official release of Koha 3.2. If you have any questions about how we host the demo, just ask. It's here for the benefit of the community. -Ian 2010/7/13 Liz Rea <lrea@nekls.org>

Libriotech has a similar demo, available at http://head.bibkat.no/ See the OPAC for detail on logging into the Intranet. This site is also kept more or less up to date with HEAD from Git (it might lag a couple of days behind now in summer), and again this is straight from Git, without any alterations. Enjoy! Does your question relate to the topic of this conversation, online demos of 3.2? If so, which demo were you using? If not, please send a new message to the list (not a reply) and provide some details about which version of Koha you're using. -- Owen -- Web Developer Athens County Public Libraries http://www.myacpl.org

Equinox also maintains a demo database that tracks HEAD. OPAC: http://opac.kohademo.esilibrary.com/ Staff: http://staff.kohademo.esilibrary.com/ (login as demo, password demo) I've started a page on the wiki to keep track of all of these: http://wiki.koha-community.org/wiki/Koha_Demo_Databases I invite all libraries and support providers who maintain public demos of mainstream Koha to add their database here. Thanks, Galen, for putting together the new wiki page. I've added a column for the MARC flavour of the demo. At this point, it's all MARC21, but as new demos are added, this may change. In fact, I'd encourage it! Cheers, -Ian On Tue, Jul 13, 2010 at 8:37 PM, Galen Charlton <gmc@esilibrary.com> wrote:
