Re: [Koha] OPAC availability
Soon you kind folks are going to be sick of me. After testing and moving forward with automation, we are experiencing inconstancies in the OPAC display. I can control the outcome by clicking Normal, MARC, ISBD and Modification Log after item input/save in the staff client. See example search on the word "teachers": 1. Actions: Place Hold Save to Lists Add to Cart We are on Koha 3 with Library Set and XSLT set to ON. Within the database, the items table shows no null values in homebranch. Of course, the big questions are how to have all of our titles available for loan to display like example 3, and how to ensure that it is not a problem in the future. Any ideas? You might wait for updates. I think I just saw some patches from Josh that have bearing on this. I don't mean to be confrontational, but I can't settle with the explanation that *just viewing* the item (never hitting "save") still causes the OPAC to do something different. If you were experiencing a lag related to the index being rebuilt, it might be that the amount of time used doing those things is enough to get the data into the index. But otherwise we would have to find what field in the database was mysteriously being updated when we didn't think we were writing to the database at all (and then how). Stranger things have happened, but that is still strange. --Joe
