KohaCon14 is over, welcome to KohaCon15 in Ibadan (Nigeria) !
Hello, KohaCon14 is now done. We had a great time in Cordoba: lot of talks, lot of code, lot of (good) food and drink (beer). Every year, the next KohaCon location is announced at the end of the KohaCon. This year, we had only one candidate, so they win the deal ! Congratulation to Ibadan, Nigeria, that will host the KohaCon15. If you want more info, you can have a look at http://wiki.koha-community.org/wiki/KohaCon15_Proposals Note that we already have one candidate for KohaCon16, in the Philippines (http://wiki.koha-community.org/w/index.php?title=Kohacon16_proposals). (It's not time to vote for KohaCon16, we will do that in Q2/Q3 2015. We will call for candidate "officially" in april/may) -- Paul Poulain, Associé-gérant / co-owner BibLibre, expert du logiciel libre pour les bibliothèques BibLibre, Open Source software for libraries expert

Hi all,
We thank you for considering us for hosting of KohaCon15 in Ibadan, Nigeria.
We encourage you all to keep an open mind about Nigeria.
There is often the scourge of "Single Story", as Chimamanda Adichie, an award winning Nigerian writer noted in a TED Talk here http://www.ted.com/talks/chimamanda_adichie_the_danger_of_a_single_story?lan... . While we have some challenges, things are not really as bad as is sometimes portrayed in the press. Unfortunately it is the negative news out of Nigeria and Africa that is sometimes seen or heard by others.
The World Health Organization (WHO) has already declared Nigeria Ebola free, and for the past 42 days, have not had a single case.
Hopefully this terrible disease will be curtailed everywhere in the world in a very short time.
The Venue of the Conference shall be the Campus of the International Institute for Tropical Agriculture, which has a diplomatic status and is well secured in the South-West region of Nigeria - free from insurgency and militancy.
Please feel free to visit: http://www.iita.org and http://hotel.iita.org for more information about The Conference Centre and Hotel facilities.
Visiting Nigeria next year will be a most exciting and rewarding experience to you all.
You are most welcome.
