Problem with entering Personall Name
I am currently entering manually Biblio records using MARC 21 Format in Koha Live CD version 3.02.00.04 but I cannot type in anything in tag 100 subfield $a which suposed to be Personal name field since the text area is like "prohibited" from typing in. So we used subfield $b which accepts being typed in but it is for something else. Hence we are getting null information on Author when we query on author field in SQL reports. This sounds like a FAQ: Question: Why can’t I edit 1xx, 6xx, or 7xx fields in my catalog record? Answer: These fields are authority controlled and you probably have the BiblioAddsAuthorities set to ‘allow’. Hello all, I have imported massively some bibliographic records in to the Reservoir. I pick the record I need, I correct it, I complete the item information and then I press "Add biblio" but the record does not appear in the main catalogue! Do you have any idea what I am doing wrong? Hi Andreas, It does take a little time for the record to appear in the catalogue. The only thing I see wrong with the procedure you have listed is that when your done editing the record, click on the new button and than new item. You should at fill in the barcode field, than the add item button once you are satisfied. I would rather recommend you to change the catalogue framework you are using in "MARC subfield structure admin for 100" choose edit for subfiled a, and click at "display more constraints". There you have a Thesaurus set to PERSO_NAME under Other options. If you leave that option blank you should be able to type in the field.
