We have a Koha instance with 2 libraries. We have several staff accounts with the superlibrarian permission but we do not want them to see both libraries. When they do a Search the catalogue items show up from both libraries. How do we restrict what libraries they can see? Thanks, Paul
Hi paul, a superlibrarian can't be limited to a branch as this permission is meant to see everything that's going on in the system. You could experiment with removing the superlibrarian permission in favor of the other permissions that will also allow access to the administration module and all the features. I think it's probably not possible to totally divide 2 libraries in the same installation - like never seeing the items of the other library. If that is the goal, it could be better to use 2 instances in a setup with packages. Hope this helps, Katrin Am 15.01.2015 um 07:04 schrieb CTS-Programmer 3 (Paul Dokken):

Hi Paul, Keep one of them as Superlibrarian. Give other necessary including all permissions but Superlibrarian to rest librarians. Do not forget assign librarians with proper libraries. Also set IndependentBranches preference as Don't prevent. Good luck. 2015-01-15 14:04 GMT+08:00 CTS-Programmer 3 (Paul Dokken) <cts-prog3@sil.org.pg>:

I had all the librarians set as superlibrarian. Sounds like if I take this away then the librarians will just have access to the library that is set under Patron, Edit, Library management, Library. Is this correct?
