Okay, getting closer, but still no luck. In the default word-phrase-utf.chr file the mappings we need to get the Spanish diacritics to work are there. The equivalents are not there. For example: equivalent Ń is not defined. When I try to add it in I get all sorts of error messages when I try to rebuild the zebra index. If I can overcome the issue with the missing equivalents this may solve our problems. Thanks, John +----------------------------------------------------------------------------+ John Chadwick, Ed.D. You should look at the french files : http://git.biblibre.com/cgi-bin/gitweb.cgi?p=koha;a=blob_plain;f=etc/zebradb... we manage diacritics smoothly HTH -- Paul POULAIN http://www.biblibre.com Expert en Logiciels Libres pour l'info-doc Tel : (33) 4 91 81 35 08
I have been looking at the file for inspiration on how to modify the sort string file. I am making progress as I have eliminated errors when reindexing zebra, still no luck on the equivalents yet. FWIW, equivalent is used for research mapping, i.e. it processes the query sent. If you want to index things with some processing, i.e. index n~ as n, you have to use map. Friendly -- Henri-Damien LAURENT
