Our corporate stylesheet mangles the MARC view in the OPAC. Fixing this problem is way down on the priority list (and not in the budget), and most OPAC users don't use this feature. So I decided to turn off the MARC view in the OPAC Under System Preferences, Local Use OPACvieMARC there's an option allow or disallow the display of MARC view of bibiographic records in OPAC. I set it to off, and saved it, but it still displays. Is there something else I need to change? We're running 3.02.06.000 - and will probably upgrade to 3.4 in the next couple weeks. If this works in the newer version, I won't fret about it. -- Elaine Bradtke Data Wrangler VWML English Folk Dance and Song Society | http://www.efdss.org Cecil Sharp House, 2 Regent's Park Road, London NW1 7AY Tel +44 (0) 20 7485 2206 ext 36 -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Registered Company No. 297142 Charity Registered in England and Wales No. 305999 --------------------------------------------------------------------------- "Writing about music is like dancing about architecture" --Elvis Costello (Musician magazine No. 60 (October 1983), p. 52)

I don't see this option anywhere in my system. I'm perplexed about how it came to be in yours.

It will be fixed, because that pop-up MARC display window has gone away in 3.4. In the meantime you could add some custom CSS to your OPACUserCSS system preference to hide the MARC links in the OPAC: #MARCviewPop { display: none; } #MARCview { display: none; } -- Owen -- Web Developer Athens County Public Libraries http://www.myacpl.org
