Error: timeout specified has expired - unable to access koha back-end
Hello helpful and wonderful koha community! We have had a perfectly stable installation of koha for 2 years now. However, suddenly I am unable to access the back-end. The first sign of trouble was that we couldn't access either the OPAC or the back-end. We restarted Zebra, and that gave us back the OPAC, but we still can't access anything else. My 'tech' guy told me that: OPAC is not running on port 8080, all the right apache configs are there and we are getting the following error on the logs: [cgi:error] [pid 11441] (70007)The timeout specified has expired: [client 10.70.7.30:62863] AH01224: Timeout during reading request entity data However, I've since realised that I can access the back-end using Internet Explorer and Firefox, but not with Chrome! Hi, If you can reach the staff client from FF and IE but not from Chrome, that does suggest its a Chrome problem first. Have you cleared the browser cache in Chrome? Hi Bob Many thanks for your reply. It seems I spoke too soon: now I get inconsistent access to the staff client with various browsers (and this is happening from multiple computers). At the moment, the only success I'm getting is with Firefox and when dropping the https from the front of the address. I also tried emptying the caches - no change. But, access is fine using Chrome on my phone! It seems to be some sort of security issue - various errors come up in the browsers: SSL Protocol Error or Couldn't establish a secure connection. This is what we're running: Koha version: 16.05.00.000 Perl version: 5.016003 MySQL version: mysql Ver 15.1 Distrib 5.5.56-MariaDB, for Linux (x86_64) using readline 5.1 Apache version: Server version: Apache/2.4.6 (CentOS) Server built: Apr 20 2018 18:10:38 Zebra version: Zebra 2.1.3 (C) 1994-2017 It's running on a virtual server (within Windows).
