Please forgive me if this seems like a really dumb question but, here goes...... I am currently working at a small elementary school that is using Spectrum/Sagebrush as their media software. We are currently looking into changing the media software for the whole district, but my question is, do you think that it is possible to implement Koha at this small school as a pilot program starting now? We are a 99% Macintosh operating system, but I do have a Windows server that could be used as a server. I am nuts to even think of doing this? Any comments would be greatly appreciated. Be as honest as you want, I don't want to get into anything that I might be sorry for later...... Not dumb, it's a great idea. But I'd try using a Linux based server rather than Windows. It doesn't matter what platform you access from since it's web based. However, Windows might be easier to install with than Linux. Lisano wrote:

There are instructions for installing Koha on OSX: http://www.kohadocs.org/macinstall.html I haven't tried it myself, so I can't give you advice about the process, but it does make more sense to try installing Koha on a *nix-style system rather than try to do it on Windows. -- Owen

We are about to install Koha on a Mac OS 10.4 server as we are a 100% Mac environment. I'll report back to the list how it went! I just installed it on Windows XP and it is up and running... no problems here after some tweaking... I'm customizing it a bit now... Philip ---- Owen Leonard <oleonard@myacpl.org> wrote:
