Does anyone know how to delete patrons in bulk?
Koha 3.05 is the version. I entered my patron list yesterday 8/3 and there was an error with the patron number (leading zeros were ignored by EXCEL). I have tried to delete using the admin command by date of last items (today 8/4) but it won't let me delete any patron records. I need to delete and reload with correct numbers. David W. I have enabled patrons to add their own photos but I do not see WHERE the patron can add in their photos on the OPAC. Can you help? That sounds like a great feature! David W. Hartman Global Business Technology Strategy Library Team Disney 336N 407 828 4250 (8-222) FAX 407 828 4868
David, That feature is for you to add patron images, right now the patrons cannot add their own images. http://manual.koha-community.org/3.4/en/administration.html#patronimages - when it says on the staff client that means you can do it. See the 4th bullet here: http://manual.koha-community.org/3.4/en/editpatrons.html Nicole 2011/8/4 Hartman, David W. - GBTS Library <David.W.Hartman@disney.com>:

My understanding of the original intention of the patron images feature was to give the librarian an additional (or quicker) identity-check. This usage is reflected by the fact that the image is only shown on the circulation pages, not anywhere in the OPAC. If I'm correct about the intended use then having patrons add their own images might not be desirable. I would ask why you want the patrons to be able to add their own images. Is it because you want that visual verification but you don't want to take the pictures yourself? (I would like to be able to use patron images but we don't have a way of acquiring the images for our patrons). Or is it because you want the patrons to be able to self-identify themselves as they do on Facebook, Twitter, etc? If that's the case then the best option is to turn on support for Libravatar (https://www.libravatar.org/), the ShowReviewerPhoto preference. This would give the patrons a way to personalize the one "social interaction" option they have available in the OPAC, adding reviews. -- Owen -- Web Developer Athens County Public Libraries http://www.myacpl.org
Good morning Can anyone confirm if it's ok to install Koha on CentOS (Community Enterprise Operating System). Regards.
Yes, I know a few libraries that run Koha on CentOS, the installation process is more difficult though than say on Debian or Ubuntu. Thanks, Savitra Sirohi Nucsoft OSS Labs http://www.osslabs.biz On Tue, Aug 9, 2011 at 1:54 AM, Gyaneshwar Narayan Junior <narayan_g@usp.ac.fj> wrote:

David, The only way to do a bulk delete is to go into the MySQL database and run the delete command. I think Chris gave you that command in another email. But if you want all the patrons deleted you can use this: delete * from borrowers; Nicole 2011/8/4 Hartman, David W. - GBTS Library <David.W.Hartman@disney.com>:
