Greetings Koha Commnunity, I am from the Republic of the Philippines, specifically in Cebu City and I've been constantly following koha mailing list. Our library is using CDS/ISIS for DOS and Windows, and it's currently running on a Novell Network. We also have a homemade circulation system as standalone. We are very much interested in this KOHA application. I would like to ask if what flavor and version of linux package is KOHA running stable. Thank you for any help. NICANOR PACAIDE JR. Any :-) I use Mandrake, katipo uses Debian any other ?
I've test-installed on a Pentium III 350Mhz, 128MB, 5G (linux partition) running RH 7.2 with half a gazillion upgrades. Only entered a couple of entries and searched a couple of times. Going to be installing it on Vector Linux 2.0 (www.vectorlinux.com) on a Pentium 133Mhz, 16MB, 2G hard drive PC. That's the *real* cataloging PC - its going to be serving a very small independent reading room. No members, but lots of docs to enter. I'll back to you guys in two months to tell the lurid tales. As far as I can tell, Koha will run on any UNIX with Apache, Perl [with necessary modules) and MySQL installed. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think you really need anything else. Nadine

I'm running it on RedHat 7.3 and it's been stable since I installed it yesterday! :-) -- Derek Dresser Gould Academy Bethel, ME 04217 (207)824-7700 ------------------------------------------------- This mail sent through IMP: http://horde.org/imp/
I believe it is running on Debian (various versions), Redhat (various versions), and gentoo. I've also heard reports of it running on FreeBSD. I think you should be okey on most modern versions of Linux. -pate Pat Eyler Kaitiaki/manager migrant Linux sys admin the Koha project ruby, shell, and perl geek http://www.koha.org http://pate.eylerfamily.org On Thu, 17 Oct 2002, nicanor pacaide jr wrote:
