removing marc records
Dear All, I have received bibliographical records in a Marc format file for e-books that are hosted by EBSCO from OCLC that has to be deleted from our catalogue since there records are no longer available. But in koha you have to use barcode or item number for batch deletion. Is there any way this marc record file can be used? -- View this message in context: http://koha.1045719.n5.nabble.com/removing-marc-records-tp5831320.html Sent from the Koha-general mailing list archive at Nabble.com.

As far as I know the answer is no, you can't use a MARC file to delete records. We are frequently in the same situation and I wish this was possible. If there was a unique identifier in each record you might be able to construct a report which would return barcodes which could be batch deleted. Otherwise I think you're stuck searching for and deleting records one by one. -- Owen -- Web Developer Athens County Public Libraries http://www.myacpl.org
