Staff client logon problems
Hello All, I've installed Koha on a pc as a test. The install wasn't without it's own issues but I finally got that done. Now it's up. I can log on as a patron and I can logon as the administrator using the logon and password set during the installation of mysql. I can not however logon to a staff client as anything/anyone else. I've created a new user designated as staff but when I try to logon on to Koha, I can only get in as a patron (on port 80) but cannot log in at all as staff (on port 8080). I must have missed something. Do I have to set up staff logon's through mysql as I did with the administrator? If so how and with what permissions/grants. Thanks for any help you can provide. You need to give staff at least Catalogue rights. Read more here: https://sites.google.com/a/liblime.com/koha-manual/Home/Table-of-Contents/Pa... --- Nicole C. Moodle Site for School Districts using Koha Koha Moodle <http://bssdonline.org/course/view.php?id=174> I started this Moodle section two years ago. At that point the only school districts that I knew of on Koha were the Saugus, California district and mine. As I am now taking a Moodle class, this section is my chosen one to update. Darla, This is great! You should probably add a link to the manual on the course - I haven't been able to find it. That's great, but why have you posted it to the "Staff client logon problems" thread? Please do not reply to a digest or list email to start a new discussion (use the "New Mail..." command of your email software instead). Many of us are trying to process hundreds of emails each day and inappropriate replies are a bit of a pain - mostly I delete them unread to save time, so you are less likely to get help. Oops! I finally found it myself. Robert Sundstrom wrote:
