Hi listers, We would like to start a Colorado Koha users group (tentatively dubbed CoKo) to meet, chat, get to know one another, and share our Koha knowledge. If you work at a Colorado Koha library and would like to join us, please let me know! Time and place of the first meeting to be determined, depending on where everyone is coming from. Hi Jennifer 2010/10/20 Jennifer Tobias <jtobias@naropa.edu>:
Hi listers,
We would like to start a Colorado Koha users group (tentatively dubbed CoKo) to meet, chat, get to know one another, and share our Koha knowledge. If you work at a Colorado Koha library and would like to join us, please let me know! Time and place of the first meeting to be determined, depending on where everyone is coming from.
To that end I started a page here http://wiki.koha-community.org/wiki/Koha_users_groups I would appreciate it if people could fill it in, and when you have your group formed, link it into there too please :) Chris
Best,
-Jen

Anyone want to start something here? Or do we want to create a subgroup of Pacific Northwest Library Assoc and meet at those meetings? Lenora StreamNet Regional Librarian Columbia River Inter-Tribal Fish Commission http://www.fishlib.org
Lenora, I'm under the gun on a few projects today - but I wanted to say I am in favor of a regional group like you suggest! There aren't many Koha libraries in Washington and Oregon right now - but if we took PNLA's boundaries of Alaska, Alberta, British Columbia, Idaho, Montana, Oregon, and Washington - we would have more. Anyone else out there interested? Yes, let's start something; I like the idea of using PNLA boundaries! I think this little library may be the only state in the state of Idaho using Koha. Hi, This is fine, but please don't forget Alaska. We have two libraries up here using Koha. Unfortunately, I don't make it to PNLA. Thanks for replying Darla! I had looked around for Koha libraries in this neck of the woods and saw a couple of Alaska libraries in the list - I was hoping someone would reply. I've been to Alaska a few times (Sitka and Juneau) and have friends in Fairbanks and family in Anchorage. So we've got replies from Washington, Oregon, Idaho, and Alaska ... come on Montana and Canada, we know you're out there. If you want to expand your group south, we expect to have another 4 libraries go to Koha before the end of the year here in California. Lori Ayre http://opensource.califa.org 2010/10/29 Josh Westbrook <joshw@wwrurallibrary.com>
