Do a federated search in OPAC
Hello, Is there a way of making a fererated search in OPAC , or making the same federated search using an CMS like joomla or wordpress ? I have 10 koha libraries, each with its own instance and diferente server and database. I Need to implement something that searches all the kohas and merge the results in one place. Thanks for the help -- Pedro Ferreira

Have you looked at VuFind? https://vufind.org/vufind/ I do not have any personal experience with it, but it should be able to do what you want. Best regards, Magnus Libriotech
I was also thinking about Vufind. It’s a great discovery system and if they are all using Koha it shouldn’t be complicated to setup. On Wed, 29 Dec 2021 at 6:56 PM, Pedro Miguel Nunes Ferreira < pedro.m.ferreira@portel.pt> wrote:

Hello Pedro- this may not be exactly what you are seeking, but we have incorporated a federated search tool in our OPAC, branded as Library Search. We offer searching the 'Catalogue' (Koha, currently Zebra) and also via 'Articles Plus' (using Explorit supplied by Deep Web Technologies). You can see how we incorporated the two services into the one interface at https://libsearch.arts.ac.uk. We are on the Koha 20.11 version with lots of (challenging!) OPAC customisation but are preparing a new OPAC in preparation for our move to 21.11 where we are focussing hard on ensuring any customisations we retain do not break accessibility.
