Hello everybody, We want to sent an email or a SMS to user via Koha. Do we have to have something special on the koha server? How to we set up these functions? Thanks to all -- *Luis Moisés Rojas P.*
Hi Luis, for setting up email facility: 1. you need to install Postfix, is a free and open-source - Mail Transfer Agent (MTA) on Operating system (OS). 2. follow instructions in the following URL for configurations: http://kohageek.blogspot.in/search?q=postfix 3. then using your Library Gmail ID, Koha system will be able to automatically send email notices to borrowers for their transactions i,e issue, return, overdue,etc..
