Hello, all! Here's another question for which I have been looking for an answer in vain: What are the purpose and use of the home location? I understand the purpose and use of the permanent location, but not those of the home location. If it's something like a temporary location, say, when a book is transferred from REFERENCE to TESTER, with the ultimate goal of returning it to REFERENCE, I can understand that. I erred. It isn't HOME LOCATION rather CURRENT LOCATION that I don't understand. So the question is really what are the purpose and use of the CURRENT LOCATION as opposed to the PERMANENT LOCATION. "Location" refers to shelving location within a library. Koha has various ways to manage temporary shelving locations and they require a corresponding permanent location.
