Can we use Unicode to enter records?
I want to enter records in Nepali language. I am thinking of using Nepali Unicode for that purpose. Is it possible or not. If possible, are there any errors or drawbacks? Yes Prawesh, You can enter data in Unicode. Are you going to be using Devanagari script? You will have to tweak your zebra config a bit to search properly, but its easy, and you will get details in this and koha-devel mailing lists.. I tried to enter Devnagari script in Field '245' subfield 'a' in cataloging and save it. I don't know. That wiki page is what I'd suspect too. If it's still failing, I'd start examining the database in detail, then logging all the HTTP traffic and feeding the same data to the CGI script or the API calls in a debugger. But that's getting quite deep and detailed email discussion of debugging methods is not easy. Good luck! -- MJ Ray (slef), member of www.software.coop, a for-more-than-profit co-op.
