repeatable subfields in items
Hello does anybody try to set holdings subfields (952) repeatable? for example notes 952$z OR 952$x OR 952$u I know that some subfields $a,$b,$y can't be repeatable. I tried it in simple demo and it works, but I am afraid if there will be some issues during circulation and other proceses do you have any experience with repeatable hoding subfields? thanks Viliam
Hi Viliam, Koha stores repeated fields with a | as separator in the database. I think for the notes fields the worst you will see is those | in the display. But I am not sure there will be a real benefit over just entering the text into one field directly. For the URL I think this will most likely create issues and result in broken links as Koha doesn't officially support repeated URL subfields and will not create the links correctly.
