Re: [Koha] item type, current library, home library, and call number after migrating Marc records to koha
Dear all, I converted records from excel to Marc and migrated them to Koha. However item holdings (fields 942$c, 952$a, 952$b, 952$c 952$y, 952$o-item type, current library, home library, and call number) are not shown in the catalogue. What could be the problem? Kindly assist Tom Regards
Hi Tom, I'm working on something very similar, which a colleague and I may turn into a koha-US conference talk. How are you going about it? Are you using MarcEdit for the conversion? If you're staging and importing an .mrc file, are you checking for embedded item records? As I've found in my years of using Koha, it's very intuitive and easy to use, but there are many ways that things can go wrong. Hi Fred, I used marcedit to convert, then used Tools-stage records-Manage records to upload to koha. Regards On Tue, May 3, 2022 at 8:43 PM King, Fred <Fred.King@medstar.net> wrote:

Hi Tom, can you share an example of your 952 data? Most common mistakes are: * $a, $b and $y not exactly matching what is configured as branch codes and item type codes in your installation. * One 952 needs to contain all necessary subfields for one item. Multiple 952 would be used for multiple items. Hope this helps, Katrin On 03.05.22 19:31, Tom Obrien wrote:
