[off-topic to some extent] For the last few days, I have been spammed every time I post to this list -- by young ladies trying to "date" me. I'm flattered -- coming up 75 and uglier than sin -- but just wondering if it's only happening to me? Best -- Paul

I've gotten a few. This came up in April as well; see: http://lists.katipo.co.nz/pipermail/koha/2014-April/039319.html Upshot, unfortunately, is that there is probably not much we can do about it. It's definitely a thing that happens. All they need to do is subscribe an address to the list, and have a bot reply to everything. Short of screening every single email address (which wouldn't be impossible, but a bit of work*), we can't tell what the subscribed address is. This is maybe something that is reaching the point of worth doing however. (* send a "testing, please don't reply" message to every address on the list with a custom 'from' address that maps to every destination address, and when you get the spam reply, you know where it came from and you can kick them.) -- Robin Sheat Catalyst IT Ltd. ✆ +64 4 803 2204 GPG: 5FA7 4B49 1E4D CAA4 4C38 8505 77F5 B724 F871 3BDF
I've just received the second email of this nature. When I look into a mirror it cracks and at 65 just getting up is a chore. I ask my wife if I could reply to the email but she said no! We're being spammed, brother! Phillip
