Installing without internet connection
Being without an Internet connection myself here is how I have preformed said task. You need to get MARC::record from the perl repositories and download it online. Hopefully you can borrow it from someone. Other then that the best tip. INSTALL DEBIAN SARGE. You can sudo apt-get install any module you need or sudo aptitude search for any module. Otherwise you will need an internet connection. CAN SOMEONE PLEASE TELL ME WHERE TO POST CODE FOR KOHA! I have rewritten the Generate barcode script to use libpdf-report instead of lib-api version <33. I think that this code is useful because I cannot get a version that old. Have not seen Koha 2.26 or 2.27 so please forgive me if this code made it upstream. Please subscribe me tot he developer list if possible. PITY ME this is the first good dial up connection I have had in Months!

Thats good to know.
rel_3_0 is the tag that will eventually become 3.0. It includes the Zebra API from dev_week, and a re-written and cleaned up overall API that we're still working on refining. Ideally, when we're finished cleaning up and the code is stable and working, we'll have a very simple installation procedure -- once that's the case we'll release 3.0.
Oke, I'm going to study the the rel_3_0 sources a bit to see if I could create something resembling a /koha package, after which I'd like to try and automate things if useful and possibble (eventough it may not be stable yet).
If you're interested in joining the development, please join the koha-devel list on savannah project; also join us on IRC at irc.katipo.co.nz #koha -- IRC is where most of the developer discussions take place :-)
Will do, thanks.

Take a look at the Makefile.PL and perldoc ExtUtils::MakeMaker - I'm not sure whether anyone has taken that forwards since my initial work.

Please keep the koha-devel list informed. IRC is not an inclusive way to work, with all the timezones around.

Hi,
1 - As far as I know the order of installing perl modules needed for Koha is not that critical. 2 - Maybe it is possible to install Koha without internet connection, but it will be a lot harder to find missing modules. Me, I would not know how to install without internet access.

Hi Koha community,
I've been defining issuing rules, but I got a problem with the fines rules. If I define "2000,7,7" as a fine rule, later I got "2000.00000" in the issuing/fine rules grid when I check it out.
Maybe I missing a parameter or something I got to define somewhere else?
I'm using Koha 2.2.6
Luis Gallardo
