Show online subscription info only to patrons
Hi Eric, We submitted a ticket to ByWater to get a "your databases" tab added to do something similar. The web opac guru at ByWater, Michael, said he could easily add this feature. Basically, you would need to edit the pages related to the OPAC content to add this option. Check Koha Administration -> Global Preferences -> OPAC for pages impacted. I think the wiki might have helpful information, too. Something in between a private note visible only to staff and a public note visible to anyone? We have some journal subscriptions with an online component that uses a shared login. We want our patrons, who have Koha accounts, to be able to see it but not the general public. Unless I'm mistaken, there's no feature for this right now. Does anyone else have a similar situation and, if so, how do you handle it? I know there are a variety of things we can do, I'm just looking for ideas. Hi Eric, you could add a new page to the OPAC using |RestrictedPageContent and |||RestrictedPageTitle system preferences. Then use OpacNav or similar to add a link to the new page. It will look like: [Your OpacBaseUrl]/cgi-bin/koha/opac-restrictedpage.pl. The page is only accessible when you are logged in and will ask for log in otherwise. We have used this in a library where a database they licensed offers authentication by referrer. || ||Thinking of it, I seem to remember that a news item set to a specific library is also only visible when logged in. So this might be another option. || ||Hope this helps!|| ||Katrin || On 24.10.2017 01:16, Stephanie Schweter wrote:
