resent: importing items
Hello guys and gals, I successfully converted the old MAB2(German predecessor of MARC21) library format of records to MARC21. They import as I wanted it. However now I need to import the list of items. But I can't seem to find a way to batch import items? I currently have them as a csv file so probably I need to write a similar conversion script as I did before for the mab2. But I don't know what to convert it to. Whats the way to import items (instances of books)? Thanks for your help Franz Dietrich PS: sorry moderators (I did send the mail without being subscribed)...
Franz- Best way to import items is to include them in your MARC21 records as item tags using the 952 tag when importing the marc. https://wiki.koha-community.org/wiki/Holdings_data_fields_(9xx) 1. Export your records, merge in your item tags, reimport your marc and overlay on 999c 2. delete all your bib records, start over and create MARC21 with item tags and overlay Either way, you'll need to find a way to merge your csv item data into the marc data. joy On Sun, Apr 7, 2019 at 12:15 PM Franz Dietrich <dietrich@teilgedanken.de> wrote:
