Someone had the good idea of adding a section to the Koha documentation on migration from other OPAC tools to Koha. This, naturally, requires some knowledge of what people have been using prior to Koha, and how they handled their transitions.... in other words, break out the war-stories! Please send any information on your past move to Koha, or planned move for that matter, to nsr_koha@hotmail.com Source code from transition tools/utilities, etc will be happily accepted, and duly credited (bonus points if you add commenting). What I'm need for your submission to be useful :) : Name of prior-to-koha catalog, who made it, what version, etc. who and how transition was managed any details on reformatting/etc scripts how data was extracted from the old catalog application how data was imported into Koha how changeover and phasing out of the old catalog happened.
