When searching in Staff Client (Koha 3.0) for a title the results screen takes me to the item I'm looking for but it's the MARC view of the item. Is there a way to set things up so that it goes to the Normal view of the item? I've checked in the Global Systems Preferences under OPAC and the Define the Default view of a biblio is set to Normal. Is there somewhere else I can look to change this?

Koha 3.0
Independent branches: off logged in as Superlibrarian
Under reports by ItemType in Catalogue I receive 78 various item types for branch JCWC.
Advanced search by branch: 0 results for branch:JCWC
I created a patron for the branch. Logged in as the patron and still nothing for the JCWC catalog.
What am I doing wrong? I've searched under barcode and title to see if there was something missing from a table somewhere.
I looked through the manual for Patrons & Branches, but don't see anything that might help with this puzzle.

Thanks Joe, but I do not have a KOHA_CONF file, I do have a koha.conf file, maybe because I have a Linux installation (Debian), its' contents are: database=koha hostname=localhost user=Koha pass='mypassword'
the password is the password that allows me to log in from root using mysql -u kohaadmin -p, so I am still stuck...

I am making my own life miserable.... While installing koha 3 I accidentally somehow deleted koha 2.2.9 (Yes, yes, stupid, I know, luckily it's not the production server yet) So, I thought, big deal, I reinstall it (for the sake of updating from there to koha 3) but I keep getting this:
Creating the MySQL database for Koha...

Problem updating database...
I do have the password, I can login to mysql debian:/home/marty/koha-2.2.9# mysql -u kohaadmin -p Enter password: Welcome to the MySQL monitor. Commands end with ; or \g.
So where do I enter the password? Or what could be wrong? I had Koha 2.2.9 running fine until I screwed up....
