Inconsistencies in retrieving information
Dear all i have installed koha 3.006 on Ubuntu 10.04. it is working properly and i have imported bibliographic datae in MARC form and all the records were imported successfully. Now the problems i am facing with koha are : 1 when i am trying to find out the record by barcode number it shows multiple results. 2 Sometimes It gives no result for keyword searching or ISBN searching 3 I could not delete the entire name of the libraries that are already built in koha pls help me manoj Kumar librariannasc@gmail.com

If you're using Zebra, Koha doesn't do "exact match" searching. When you search for a barcode it should return the correct record first, and then the rest of the records will be results for Zebra's "fuzzy" search, including barcodes which differ from your search by 1 character.
3 I could not delete the entire name of the libraries that are already built in koha
Did Koha give you some kind of error message? If not, is there an error message in the log? -- Owen -- Web Developer Athens County Public Libraries http://www.myacpl.org

I think there is a bug in Koha that causes it not to give an error in this case, at least, I remember seeing it somewhere similar not terribly long ago. The problem is that there are things (borrowers, items, etc.) referencing that library, and so the database constraints refuse to let it be deleted. -- Robin Sheat Catalyst IT Ltd. ✆ +64 4 803 2204 GPG: 5957 6D23 8B16 EFAB FEF8 7175 14D3 6485 A99C EB6D
