displaying item type icons in OPAC search results
Hi all, Could someone please confirm for me that it is possible to make the icons selected when creating item types in Koha 3.x (ie from the npl or liblime kids or bridge set), display in the OPAC search results. I know they display in advanced search interface but I want them to display in search results too. Thanks Jo.
I need to double check this - but I don't think they show on the search results (at least not with XSL turned on) - but they do appear on the detail page next to the holdings for the item in question. I have to toggle the settings on my system to confirm this for sure - but maybe someone else knows off of the top of their head. --- Nicole C. For anyone who doesn't want to wade through my long-winded reply to Joann's other message bout itemtypes and ccodes, here's the part about icons in search results: Now that ccode and itemtype are stored at the item level rather than the biblio (title) level there can be any number of ccodes and itemtypes attached to one bibliographic record. Even if this isn't the case for your library, the very possibility makes it difficult to imagine a system for displaying them accurately in OPAC search results. Would you have to display an icon for every kind of itemtype/ccode which were attached to each record? I (and my patrons) want pretty icons in our search results too. I just don' t know how we could make it happen with a solution that is broadly applicable. -- Owen -- Web Developer Athens County Public Libraries http://www.myacpl.org
