Hi there I am running Koha 3.2.6. When i try to do original cataloguing, I can't type values into the 100$a field. Is there someway to unlock this field? BiblioAddsAuthorities is set to allow, but it doesn't seem to make any difference. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. The field is authority controlled. To 'unlock' that, you have to edit the field in each Marc Framework that you use and set Thesaurus to null. More info here (under 1.4.1.4): http://koha-community.org/documentation/3-4-manual-en/?ch=x4912#marcbibframe... Hope that helps. Bob Birchall CALYX
Thank you very much :) Cheers, Catherine On 01/06/2011, Bob Birchall <bob@calyx.net.au> wrote:

You have to edit the MARC framework: Administration › MARC Bibliographic Frameworks › [ whichever you're using ] Framework Structure › Tag 100 Subfield Structure › Edit subfields constraints Click "display more constraints." Look for a field labeled "Thesaurus." I'm guessing it is set to "PERSO_NAME." Choose the blank option in that drop-down to remove the requirement that 100a be filled from an authority record. -- Owen -- Web Developer Athens County Public Libraries http://www.myacpl.org
