Hi: I'm giving a few talks in the next couple of months about the schema.orgRDFa integration that Koha offers, and I was hoping I might be able to put together some composite images that show libraries (big and small, around the world) that are now more connected to the web of linked data as a result of that effort. Ideally the pictures would be made available under something like a CC-BY-SA license so that they could be reshared with the appropriate attribution. A set of pictures like this seems like it would be fun and useful to have in general on the koha-community.org site, and I wasn't able to find anything existing along those lines, so perhaps this wouldn't be all about satisfying a nice-to-have for me... That said, if a collection like this already exists, I would greatly appreciate a pointer :) Thanks, Dan
I sometimes take pictures when in training at Koha libraries. All my pics are CC licensed. Here's my libraries set: https://www.flickr.com/photos/nengard/sets/72157606711652433/ I'm in a hotel with crappy wifi so I can't browse it to narrow down the libraries that are Koha libraries, but hopefully you can find a few. Otherwise I can help narrow it down when I get back home later next week. Nicole On Fri, May 9, 2014 at 1:28 PM, Dan Scott <denials@gmail.com> wrote:

Hello Dan Will it be possible for you to record your talks about linked data / schema.org / RDF and share them for people who are living in lands far, far away? :) Anything would do: Videos recorded using a mobile phone, or even just audio.

Nicole: Wow! Thanks so much - that's a fantastic set of pictures! I should be able to track down the Koha libraries from that set (and I'll try to remember to tag them, if that's still a thing in Flickr). Arslan: My brief talk at code4lib 2014 from earlier this year was recorded; the video, slides, and what I meant to say are available from https://coffeecode.net/archives/286-Tales-of-a-semantic-web-dropout-or-what-... I don't think the talks at ESWC 2014 will be officially recorded, but I'll see if I can at least grab the audio this time. I always mean to do that, then usually completely forget when it comes time to actually give the talk -- heh! Thanks, Dan On Wed, May 21, 2014 at 12:09 AM, Arslan Farooq <arslanone@gmail.com> wrote:

Hi, Dan-- There's a photo of our library here, http://www.nps.gov/safr/historyculture/library-collections.htm And any photo you see on our site with the credit "NPS photo," or any images of our collection without any other attribution, are in the public domain. Likewise, photos on our blog, http://fullfathomcollections.blogspot.com/ that don't have any specific attribution, or say "NPS photo," are in the public domain.
